New Five-Week Audition Workshop in May/June



It is time to announce a new five-week workshop series! I have some time between projects on Thursday nights from May 16 - June 13. This workshop will run much like they have recently, with a focus on the audition process and guest professionals offering invaluable information to the actors.

Total cost is $185, with a $75 non-refundable deposit due to reserve a spot. The workshop will be limited to the first 10-12 actors that pay a deposit, so reserve your spot now!


WORKSHOP CURRICULUM - May 16 - June 13, 2013

Week One - 5/16/13 - FIRST AUDITION 
 - sides will be sent out the day before.
 - actors will work on camera.
 - actors will verbalize their impressions of their "audition".
 - actors will receive feedback from myself and guest auditor (casting director).

Week Two - 5/23/13 - FOCUSING ON LOCATION / RELATIONSHIP
 - sides will be sent out the day before.
 - actors will work together on camera.
 - actors will receive feedback from myself and guest auditor (writer/director).

Week Three - 5/30/13 - BUILDING CHARACTER
 - sides will be sent out the week before.
 - we will discuss usage of a unique character choice that is a natural fit for each actor.
 - actors will work on camera.
 - actors will receive feedback from myself and the fellow workshop actors.

Week Four - 6/6/13 - COLD READ
 - character description will be sent out the morning of the workshop.
 - actors will receive sides on arrival, and cold read on camera.
 - actors will decide who amongst them would be called back, and why.
 - Actors will receive feedback from myself and guest auditor (talent representative).

Week Five -6/13/13 - CALL BACKS
 - sides will be the same from the cold read workshop.
 - we will discuss the need to step things up a notch for call backs, while staying true to original read.
 - actors will work on camera.
 - actors will decide who amongst them would book the part, and why.
- Actors will receive feedback from myself and guest auditor (director or producer).
