Thursday nights, from 6:30-9:30pm, I am leading my TV/Film Actor's Audition Workshop at Robert Blanche's 'Studio 231', located at 107 SE Washington St. Suite #231, Ptld 97204. Enter through the Olympic Provisions door on the corner of SE Second Ave & Washington St after 5:30pm. Drop-in rate is only $30. It is an ongoing workshop with no set curriculum, creating a flexible atmosphere geared toward the actor who is trying to stay sharp, while balancing real life and "reel" life. Each week can be a little different: sometimes it is a simulated audition environment with a guest director, producer, casting person, and/or talent rep; other times we may run scenes on tape, and critique them while watching on a BIG screen (it is very important for actors to do this!); other times we will just run like a scene study class, and work scenes for group discussion. I try to keep it fresh (and sometimes surprising) for the actors, much like mixing up a workout routine for "muscle confusion". I also have pre-paid, multi-session punchcards available ("flex pass"-style) for anyone interested in saving ca$h!
